Re: Dr.Pepper (Filter fixing and painted engine bay)
Well my filters been giving me some sh*t and coming off of the throttle body from the pressure of the cruise control module. I need new upper motor mounts to keep the motor from moving so much. Next investment I promise lol
So I noticed the filter fell off yesterday lol
Filter meet headers, headers filter
Yes that's gorilla glue keeping the coupler and the filter together. It works well.
Drove without a filter and the car didn't like it at all. Would struggle to stay above 500 rpms when throttle is released, I was driving double pedal all the way home, foot on brake to stop and foot on gas to keep rpm's up.
Got rid of this bracket because it sat the cruise control module too far out:
and then zip tied the cruise control module to some wires:
That's that.. hopefully it'll stay put for a bit.
Here's a current engine bay pic:
I painted the fuel rails silver to accent. I also painted the plastic pieces between the bumper and frame gloss black:
And I also painted inside of where the grilles are:
It's a subtle touch, I really like it. Here's with the grille off:
