• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Dorman Transmission Pan With Drain Bolt.

The link isn't working for me, but dorman makes good quality products.

You can get the ACDelco Pan for $35 on rockauto.

I'm picking one up tomorrow and will have it on hopefully by the first of September, I'll report back as to fitment etc.

lol, we have time travelers on this forum? He's picking it up tomorrow, and getting it a month and a half ago, thats awesome!

If only good sir, if only... I'm trying to decide if I want to drop the pan and change the fluid and filter myself or have someone do it.... I've done it before on other cars, I just hate doing it, such a pain in the ass, and every time I do it, it ends up leaking, then again that was a Dodge car, so it had its' own set of problems...

Only things that cause it to leak are: bent pan(from letting it hang by too few bolts), badly designed aftermarket gasket, or not clean enough surfaces on pan and transmission, a well as a lack of cleaning the gasket if you're using the re-usable stock one.

Or not tightening bolts enough, that's another possibility.

And yeah mine's bone dry, I used the aftermarket gasket from the Wix kit.

^ yeah stock gasket is perfectly fine to reuse, just make sure it's as clean as a new one would be. No dirt or grime at all.

What happened? I remember seeing your posts, everything was good, then all of a sudden I saw, "got a TEP trans".

Or over tightening it and rupturing the new gasket...
True, so many ways to mess things up.

Not sure yet...think the tc was starting to crap, but I will assume that the clutches are shot. I will be trying to tear it apart this winter. TEP trans went in last Sunday.

I'd like to see that.

And Brammer, you should be fine, there's lots of advice here already on how to make sure it won't leak.
