Just wonderin, the door open gizmo in the DIC tells u if the trunk, or which door is open right? Why doesn't any automaker (that I know of, I may be wrong) not have the info device tell u if the HOOD is open? I would think that would be nice info to have, all those people driving around with their hoods popped and don't even know, until someone tells them or until it flies open on the highway and smashes the windshield. IDK just a thought.

I worked on a 08 suburban and it tells you that the hood is popped.

so it does exist, they do tell u the hood is opened. I figured they would add that but i just never personally seen it.

If I pop my hood in my 07 it dings. It don't show it on my info thingy but it does make a sound

My STI tells me the hood is opened. It also won't arm the alarm until the hood is closed.

My CL flashes a warning if the hood is open and you shift out of park.
