door handle bracket?

My exterior passenger side door handle is practically falling off due to some terrible body work years ago. Upon inspecting it, it fits into the door via a black plastic piece that goes around the handle and then has some ridges on the side which enable it to just sort of clip in. I've spent an hour searching this forum w body forums impala forums and a variety or auto parts websites, can somebody please tell me what the hell this thing is called so I can attempt to get a new one? I live in a small southern city with only one j/y which is terrible so it's not an option.

passenger side. if it was driver I would have fixed that bad boy a loooooong time ago.

what color is the handle i have about 30 door handle assemblys

the handle is gold, but I don't think I'm getting across exactly what this is. This part should be black on every car. It's a tiny black plastic piece that goes around the handle. I might call it a "retainer clip". Possibly a "bezel".

Just saw that you have an 04 I dont' have any parts for those.
