When people run backround checks, they actually check out that kind of stuff to.

When I was at a training command, there were Sailors who were taken to NJP after posting on Facebook/Myspace admitting to drinking underage. While the fleet hasn't gotten that fervent about it yet I can see it coming eventually.

(For the civvies: non-judicial punishment (NJP) is where a member of the military is punished by the commanding officer, which can include loss of rank, loss of pay, restriction to base, etc. It's less severe than a court-martial, but still very serious.)
