Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Dog bone flip?

usually when you lower the car the axle geometry get thrown off. this leads to vibration during acceleration. i had it on my car until i shortened my dogbones. the only other solution is to put spacers under the motor/trans mounts to raise the engine up a little more. the latter is the more effective route, but i dont have room to move my engine up because of my headers. i have to stick with shortened dogbones. 90% of my vibrations are gone and the rest of them are from my poly mounts.

i hope that helped you out.

It's not that bad to swap to the 04 L26 mount either.

Drill a little hole here

And presto...

Probably wouldn't do much for you guys except a little more belt wrap from the Bonne tensioner and about 15 less pounds when you drop that anchor of a coil pack mount.

Because I'm only on like 6 other forums.??? Wanna another one? If you yank your charger, you can do it too. Buy some silly putty or play doh and pull out the drills. I think Andy Grazela came up with the putty suggestion.

Sad part is that I did this in case I wanted to dog bone the Bonne. With more mods than most of the local GP's I have less movement. So I've currently shelved this project too.

The mount and the dog bone itself are two separate things. You don't need shorter dog bones unless you have a lowered car. Flip your dog bone MOUNTS to get rid of engine movement...you can do it on a GT or GTP.

she is getting lowered about 2 inches give or take.. so should i do both?

Hmm. If Iv'e got a lowered car with brand new motor/tranny mounts its still a good idea to get shorter dogbones right? ZZP claims they wont fit w/ my PaceSetter Headers though. I think they will fit. Just hafta remove parts from Fan.

Wheel vibrates. I know its not the brakes or tie rods so I might get dogbones it'll hafta wait though. Tight Rebuild Budget.

so im trying it right now. flipped the one. but i cant get the damn engine to come back foreward to put the bolt in. i need some help. and im really pissed right now. any suggestions will be good

Best mod ever. And it's FREE!!!! I've done it on all my friends GM cars and my girlfriends GP. Less wheel hope, instant power transfer and there's no harsh vibration that can be felt in the cabin. You won't regret it.

Oh yeah, one aside note, is that the motor will be leaning forward slightly more, which will give you more weight over the front wheels under acceleration = better traction, less wheel hop. In my experiences it also helps in winter driving as well.

you think i should flip mine? i got a 98 gtp and one day i floored it at 45 and when it shifted around 55 i noticed a vibration like the wheels breaking traction...idk if it was that or not

a) these cars dont have ANY wheel hop issues. if you have wheel hop, then either youre crazy or something is wrong with your car

b) shuttering on shifts does not constitute motor movement, per say, but it could be the culprit

c) everyone should do this or buy poly mounts.
