DNA springs... yep i said it

Nope not yet, my car is nothing special it's a 40th with magnaflow exhaust and window tint. It's got peeling roof rails and 1 rust spot where paint chipped off on rear quarter panel and the gas door is Falling off. I haven't even had a chance to give it a good wax and polish and wash since I bought it. I will make one when I get it to acceptable standards =p
 
Hey OP, or anyone that knows, did u buy the 97-03 specific dna springs because I can't find anywhere dna springs that are for 04+?? Also would the 97-03 springs fit on 04+ and would the drop be the same u think? thanks
 
^ because they are heavier.


you've gotta be aware of what lower control arms you have though. you may have to switch them out to be able to run the right springs/struts.
 


you have an 04, so they should work.

they changed the LCAs in like 05-06 or something, then switched back to the old style again after that.
 
Just thought i would give everyone an update. Loaded the springs onto the struts today. Will be putting them on Monday. Ill be sure to take pics =D

the LCAs are different in 04-05 and switched back to the 97-03 style in 06. If you have an 04-05 your sway bar connects to the Strut, and you need a strut that has the tab for the endlink

2 Front installed. Measured the drop it was 25.2 now its 24.2. Installing the rear 2 tomorrow then will post photos =D. Ride is great so far tho no more bouncing and it isn't rough at all. Small bit of vibration at 60km/h but thats it. No anti-pogo washers or shorter dogbones yet.
 
Dude. U need those washers from zzp

Open your hood and push up an down the front of the car while watching the strut tops. Your gonna see a **** ton of gap/movement.

Does anyone notice if these increase traction while going WOT? Id kinda assume slightly stiffer springs would leave more weight on the front. I need new struts bad so I'm probably going to get these at the same time.

I know after driving it for little while now I'm getting a clunk coming from the CV joint front the axles being bent so much. And its like a mexican low rider over speed bumps. Im going to order the engine and tranny spacers from ZZP as well as the pogo washers.

Overall tho it dropped alot more than people said yet and they haven't settled yet. Much better ride tho it doesn't feel like its floating anymore. My old struts were shot so i can't wait to get the rears on tomorrow and see how it is =D

Well the springs have dropped 1 inch already so i think that's pretty significant. People were telling me it would drop maybe 3/4 of an inch or less. But no its not, there was no vibration before lowering springs there is now. Springs barely needed compressing and it does have alot of movement like crazyguy said. Either way i ordered the spacers and pogo washers.
 
I rode with the stock springs in the rear for a week. It was hell. The car would buck back and forth over rolling bumps. It will go away once your rears are installed

Well in 12 hours it will be installed. What is your ride height like? Are you enjoying the springs?

From the drop in the front so far I love it. Looks like it should have. But i ordered the engine and tranny spacers as well as pogo washers from zzp. ( Before anyone says anything i know the GM part number for the subframe bushings, but they want 14$ our shops cost each )
