So i bought a bike the other day for something that would be a lot better on gas. i bought a 2000 buell cyclone m2 1203cc sportster engine it has a full d&d exhaust and an after market intake. I dont know to much about these bike and their value . kbb said it was worth around 4g I paid 2 for it but it has 22,000 miles on it. Does anyone know how far these motors will go?? Only bad thing is it leaks a lil oil from where the crank case breather breathes

here are some pics

Seems like a good deal to me. I am not very familiar with the value of these bikes either but I know they were made by Harley and Harleys are known to be easy to maintain.

I did a quick search and found this. Buell M2 Cyclone Motorcycle. Has some good info about your model of bike.

As for the leak around the crankcase it could just be that the seal needs to be replaced which shouldn't be too bad. I found some info on that as well.

Hope this helps. :D

It being a harley I'd say you overpaid but I very much dislike harleys because they are to expensive, need more maintenance, don't hold their value worth a ****, and most people that ride them are ass hats that think they are better than everyone else. I'm a honda man myself because they are super cheap, hold their value better, and are super reliable.

Ouch ... im going to hang my self now cause i involuntarily became an ass hat... and i bought a turd...

haha no but really thanks dsmusts i like honest opinions. but would you like to race your honda against this 1203 cc monster :) and one more thing how can it be super cheep but still hold value??
Whoops the ass came out of me.. d*** harley made me do it :)

Considering the bike, I think you got a good deal. It's hard to find a "sporty" bike in the $2k range that hasn't been beat to hell. You'll quickly find though that that V-twin runs out of steam in the upper end and a 600cc bike will lay a hurting on you. Otherwise, if you're in a rural area with some twisties, enjoy what the bike can do because that's where it'll shine performance wise. Fuel wise, expect about 50mpg.

I don't race my honda often its only a 500 and it's 33 years old but i have raced a few harleys and havent lost yet. I'm not saying I dont like the bike it's just I would never own one. They can be bought for cheap and then sold for cheap. I only have $25 in my bike.
