DIC and HUD Questions

My DIC and HUD aren't working right. On the DIC:

1. The gages and fuel buttons don't work at all. The trip odometer does only odometer and the trip meters. The reset button works fine. I think the options button does everything.

2. The HUD does not display the compass or the outside temperature, only the speed and the gear when I shift into it. Also the cruise when I set it.

Do I need to replace just these gadgets, or the cables that go to them? Or is there some wider-ranging problem, like the BCM?

Sounds like your DIC is bad. I am sure it shares info such as temperature with the HUD.

Swapped the DIC and solved all the problems. Thanks for the guidance.

The "new" DIC still has the wrong odometer reading. Is this something an average shop can fix, or is a stealership visit necessary?
