• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

"Desert Fox" tranny cooler

im looking at either that one, or the B&M supercooler with the fan on it. id like to have a fan on mine, especially with the t-stat in it so its not running 100% of the time

I'm sure I could put one together for you guys and start offering them on the site. I've been meaning to do that anyway. It would come standard with a fan and would also perform better than the desert fox in the cooling aspect.

And it would be cheaper.

It would more than likley also come with braided line and a secure way to attach it to the transmission line other than a hose clamp.

That would be awesome.........I would definitely consider buying it from you if you had them to offer........

I'm going to try my hardest to have one put up for you guy's in the next week.

I won't be ready to buy that soon.......but I would like to see what you have to offer for a decent price.........keep up the good work

In already have a very high quality fan that will not break tha bank sitting in the shop. Along with the test cooler. This was ment to be done a long time ago but never got it done.

Anyway I'll have it done by sunday for sure.

If you plan to make a cooler make sure it is a good size! The ones I use and sell are 26K gvw rating and even a few guys need something larger than that because of mounting location, especially turbo guys that use a large front mount intercooler. Most people dont want to spend and arm and a leg either and if you go AN lines and fittings you can plan another $100 or more to the bill, then you still have the trans side fittings to work around and keep in mind that select years have a checkball in the feed cooler fitting that you CANNOT omit without internal changes. I looked into making kits for these cars a while back but there isnt much demand for them and not many people want to pay $200-$300 for a nice setup, and adding a fan and nice plug-n-play wiring bumps it up even more.

take install pics.................let us know how it goes as far as the install and how it works as far as how far tranny temps actually fall

The Dessert Fox cooler is a very nice kit from the ones I have seen installed, Im sure you will be very pleased with it

Well my camera was dead, so i couldn't take any photos, sry. The install was a pita, holes didn't line up like they were supposed to on the cooler mounts, so i had to mod it a little. The hoses are well designed tho. I went on a 2 hour drive tonight to test out the tranny, my temps never got above 160", keep in mind it was a little cool tonight. Usually on a night like this i would see 175*. So far no leaks at all :). I would recommend this cooler to anyone, just be prepared to shed some blood and tears on the install.

Oh yeah and i smoked a mustang gt at a stop light on my test drive :D
