Dam ac leak

Timing

New member
i have an ac leak so i tried using that uv dyr to locate the leak but it doesnt seem to leak unless the ac gets really cold so my question is, the leak seems to be at the lower drivers side of radiator. Is there spot where its know to leak on these cars? 04 compg

i think i really cant tell, i only noticed it leaking there after it got refilled and was spraying out but now that the lines are empty i cant tell with the dye ****. Is that a common spot?

i am supposed to put the dye in the port behind engine correct?

yeah you can only put it in the low pressure side if you're buying it from the store. The condenser gets hit with rocks and stuff and can develop leaks. It sits in front of the radiator.

yeah probably it's not to hard. Can't really patch them

is there a guarentee way to find the leak ? and the condenser is the big long bowl to the drivers side of the radiator, not the small one in front ?

i really dont want to replace it if its a simple gasket on a connection or a line

yup just looked at it from the hole in the front bumper cover and sure enough someone tried doing a patch job on it befor with some rubber ****

holy cow, $180

A new one from rockauto is like 100 bucks for a delco/delphi brand atleast for my 2000 car.

I bought one from 1800radiator for 120 instead from my work and got a warranty.
