CV Joint Maybe?

Grinding, whirring and tire lean.

Recently, while driving I had this horrendous noise come from my driver side tire.
I got the car home, let it sit overnight and tried to move it the next morning. Pulling straight out of my driveway it makes a grinding sound, same sound happens when I reverse straight back, Tiring is leaning in from top to bottom.

First I thought it was a caliper but I looked at it and saw no abnormal wear on the pads or rotors, the caliper wasnt loose either.

Im leaning towards it being the driver side CV joint.

Any help is appreciated, Im trying to get it narrowed down before I tear into it, or pay to have someone do it.

wheel bearing.

Jack up the front end ender the crossmember in the front and make sure the key is ON so the steering wheel is not locked and start shaking the tires down.

12-6 is wheel bearing

3-9 are ti rods.

if you feel play, you got problems.

I figured it was one or the other, I had both problems on previous vehicles, they share similar symptoms but the tire lean threw me off. I've never had lean with a bad wheel bearing/hub.

One more question though if you dont mind. lol. My "TRAC OFF" light stays on, and from what I hear thats caused by bad hubs also, or a bad connection to the plug on the back of the hub. Is this correct or should I be replacing something else?

3&9 could be ball joint too. Mine did that.

how easy are wheel bearing replacements? I need one, my wheel is making a low clicking/grind noise also

nut on end of thread for axle shaft + hammer = the 2 second way of getting the hub loose from the WB.

Its just that easy.

As for ball joints, its easier to just grab the front of the tire with both hands and move it back and forth for play.

I've had some that a BFH just wouldn't do I ended up having to use a pulley puller to get it out and that was on a car with only 50,000 miles.
