• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Crazy Taz and his wire tuck.

If you take the wires and twist them decently so they look like a solid wire under say heat shrink tubing, they hold together well. While the clamp may be nice, I've never had one to use and never had issues soldering.

Get yourself a Weller gun from Home Depot and you can solder 10 gauge in a mild wind.

I got a commerical weller it's awesome the thing goes all the way up to 1500* idk wtf for but it does I normally just set it around 500 and go

Thinking I'll just start out with somthing like this rather than buy them individualy

So I'm ordering all the stuff I'm going to need and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on were to get lots of wires

pretty sure home cheap-o has wire and so does lowes, in the electrical section.

im sure they have larger and cheaper spools vs a parts store.

Ok thanks I was hoping to try to match colors as best as possible just becuase I'm a little ocd somtimes when it comes to my car.

Buy a harness cheap or go get one at the local yard. Any GM should work, but obviously W bodies will be plentiful in the yard. :D

I have some harness pieces etc that are from motor swaps etc. Often I go right to them for the right size, color etc.

I think the guy I'm getting a top end and possible parts trans from has a complete harness. As soon as I get my car back from the body shop I'm going to start cutting stuff. Like I said I'm starting on the passenger side, moveing the battery, fuse box, and coolant resivor to the trunk. Already got the trunk all ripped apart... did you know more than half of a grand prix is held together by glue? lol I'll get you guys a picture.

After I get those moved it will let me see where I wana run other things. I'm also moving the pcm to the trunk. I'm going to have to go check out what that guy did with his abs stuff because I want to get that out of there too. Also quick question, that onstar box in the trunk, is it just onstar stuff in it? because I want that room for other stuff lol

he just stuck it in the bumper.

And I'm not taking the spare out unless I'm racing because I know the day I do I'll get a flat and there plenty of room in the trunk
