Crazy Taz and his wire tuck.

Most of the glue on these cars is seam sealer which has spotwelds under it, tho I have seen plently places in the front wheel wells for example where more seam sealer should have been used and some cars start to rust around the top of the strut towers and the firewall. I'd love to see a great wire tuck done. Best I've ever seen was the one Kuntzie did to clean up his bagged turbo car. That build from the Bonnie site it kick ass too. well the only stuff I'm moving to the trunk is
-battery
-coolant bottle
-fuse box
-pcm
-and maybe the washer fluid maybe but I doubt it

These cars are setup much easier to do a tuck on than that bonny, it's all a matter of time and a few parts here and there but I think I can do it all for around 300 and that includes the fatmat I'm putting down on the inside after moving all the stuff.

Should search some honda wire tucks and shaved bays, I dont think Id move the coolant bottle that far back because you'd have to make sure the line could get the fluid that far back. I'd try find something like an alum oil catch can or something used for the coolant. Just try find a small alum can and hide it in the passenger side in front of the wheel well.
 


just an FYI i had a guy i worked with that was doing an MR2 build. he used fuel/ brake line to run his wires!


when i do my swap i dont think im going this all out, but i want to hide as much as i can. i just dont like the birds nest of wires these cars have.
 


Yea good idea...because the harness gets in the way. If you shortened it or anything and made it harder to move it would get frustrating real quick.
 


Ok I just got a good idea for ya taz. Since you are moving everything to the trunk, take out the OnStar box thing. There will also be a LOT of colored wires leading to it that are dead weight. If you take those out you can reduce the weight in your car by 10-20 lbs and have free colored wire :D
 
this project is going to look great just be sure to get lots of pics for us along the way. i cant wait to see it.
