My friend just bought a 2003 bmw 3 series (auto, i think its a 315... the one without all wheel drive) just wondering if i could beat it... also what about an 2007 subaru wrx (non-sti). The kids a jerk and thinks he has the end all be all car or the century. Just wondering if i could show him whats what... or keep my mouth shut.

If your running a GTP, you should have no problem. My brother has a 325 stick and I pulled on him. It was a slow pull, but I still got him. Does the WRX have any mods? And do you have any mods?

sorry for not posting all the info

grand prix is stock except for a K&N drop in

bimmer is stock 325

subie is stock as far as i know and a manual (but i have yet to see him dump the clutch at high rpms so i doubt he would in this case)

Should be able to kill both. Don't know until you try. Blow that punk kids doors off that WRX and shut him up. Let us know how it turns out. Would be a good story for the kills section.

you should win easily. Anything under 330i, 330ci is slow. 335's are fast

0-60 is not really much indication for a race. Sure WRX's are fast of the line...obviously b/c they are AWD, but if you race one from a roll they are out of their league

OK plain and simple, you will smash the bmw, but the wrx will kill you, there's no gettin around it, so just race get it over with and you will see what im talking about

I never raced a regular 3 series but a brand new m3 spanked me in my mustang about a month ago. I dont wanna sound like a ricer but your best bet with the subie will be from a roll. Off the line AWD will own you, he has the option of dumping the clutch and slingshotting out of the hole while you vaporize tires.
Win or lose don't sweat it, anyone who races on a fairly regular basis loses sometimes or they are lying about it.

i completely agree, but the new m3 will own almost anything on the street, even a sc cobra or t/a, 330 and under your good, but like what was stated before if its a 335 you will get smash, they're inline 6 twin turbos, and they move, now the wrx will kill you off the line or from a roll, but from a 5 roll you might get him up to about 35,40 mph, but anyways just race and tell us the results

yea, any bimmer 3 series should be a pretty easy kill, but wach out for the 335... those things are twin turbod and FAST!

WRX...raced a few and won all but once to a guy that was heavily modded and only put a few cars on me. Yeah he might launch on you but don't give up..usually before 2nd gear I pass them back up. GET VIDS..I always forget and hate myself.

wrx's dont have NEAR as strong as trannys or clutches as sti's and can not handle the abuse off high rev clutch drops off the line. and if you just dump the clutch, with out being in high rpms (6000) its more then likly to just grab with the 4wd and bog down. its pretty tricky, with out reving it to 6000 and dumping the clutch, to get a good lauch. ive seen many of evo's and sti's lose to cars that they should have not because they bogged hard off the line and couldent make it up.
