could i beat a bimmer?

I seen a vid of a guy with a wrx thrying to do high rev launches and snapped all the half shafts. It was pretty funny. You hear him rev up and when he dumps the clutch you can hear four loud snaps.
 


Stock WRX's do a low 14sec quarter mile, stock STI's do a mid 13sec quarter mile, stock GTP's do a high 14sec quarter mile.

Thing is most kids with Subaru's cant launch to save their lives and they have to shift properly. They have two factors against them [assuming the vehicle is manual] whereas you have none. Spend less then a grand and you can easily smoke a stock WRX.
