Coolant level sensor bad??

Does anyone know what could be the issue here.. As soon as I saw the light, I stopped and checked the coolant level and it was fine. After letting the car cool off for about 2 hours the level is still fine. Its obviously not overheating and there's no odor of coolant coming from the engine anywhere as well as no leaks or smoke/steam. I'm assuming its the coolant level sensor. The car is an 02gtp. Thanks for reading. :th_scratchhead:

the sensor is either dirty or bad. its on the side of the rad, cap side, you'll see the wire leading to it.

take it out, clean it, if it still acts up, change it. this is of course providing your rad is full. yet the light comes on.

Yeah lol. I remember seeing it a while back. I was like ehh, I couldn't have said it better, might as well find it and copy/paste.

Thanks for the reply. I shall replace it at once! lol the light is flickering between on off and on but very dim. I just wasn't sure judging by how it illuminated in the video if that was the cause.

I'd try cleaning it first, they're not cheap for what they are. If cleaning it doesn't work, I'd say go to a junk yard if you really care about it, just make sure it's clean. I mean, advance sells them for $52, rockauto's lowest is $36.

LOL seems like someone always has the same problem as me. On my 00 My coolant is fine but the light flickers really dimly and my 06 is almost dry in the reservoir but not a light on at all
