Coolant leak NEED HELP!

i had this happen and was short of funds on the ol gtp, couple weeks after i bought her. Crack right down the middle of the side. Drained, dryed and actually opend the gap a bit and jb welded it shut. No leaks over a year later and to my knowledge the kid who bought is beating the piss out of it and no issue

I would not put any stop leak or anything like that in there. A guy on another forum I'm I posted pics of a motor tear down that had stop leak in it, all the coolant passages in the blocked were clogged with that ****. If you wanna go the hack route try the jb weld. But your more than likely going to have to replace the radiator anyway so just save time and do it the right way first.

im just gonna say, sometimes, sometimes, we have to improvise lol i would never do that now adays, but when in a bind it has to happen.

Josh..that's likely someone that poured a ton into their motor. One dose shouldn't clog passages.

When/if you jb weld. I'd suggest considering the one made for underwater. It'll adhere better if there's any moisture on your rad. Definately scuff the surfaces well and overlap a bit. The endcaps being plastic based do expand and contract. Which is why it cracked.
