Control arm Question

Hi guys ...I'm looking to buy 2 control arms with ball joint included for a 2005 gt....My question is they have 2 listings one with a 20 mm stabilizer and one with a 24mm bar. Are there any difference in size of the control arm...distance between bushings etc? or is the only difference just the extra lug and hole for the link kit with the 24 mm bar?

any help greatly appreciated :)

My lower control arms do not have a end links bolted to them( i have a 20mm sway bar)...in my understanding the 24mm sway bar have the end links bolted to the control arm....My question is can I use the control arms made for the end links?

correct the 04+ the sway bar end links mounted to the strut, the 97-03 bolt the end links bolt to the lower control arm.

you can use the 97=03 lca's and the 97-03 sway bar on your 04+ car

So just confirming both control arms will fit an 2005 ? without having to use the sway bar as well .

yes they fit either year car. but the idea of using the 97 -03 lca's is so you can use its sway bar.

the top link, this one is a 04+

bottom link, this one is the 97-03 it has a perch on the side for the sway bar end link

Get the second one. 04-05 and some 06 have the sway bar connect to the strut. 97-03 and most 06-08 have it on the lca. Just get the one that connects to the lca so that way you can upgrade your sway bar if you want sometime down the line.

I would find a Comp G front bar because they are, from what I've read, solid and 3mm thicker than stock. Plus you don't have to change control arm styles and sway bars are 40% less efficient when connected to the control arm vs strut

I swapped my comp g to a speedbuilt sway connected to the lca and it made a huge difference in handling. I'm thinking the comp g has the same as any other gp.

The comp g has different bars. And that speedbuilt bar is a giant 38mm bar. It makes up for any losses from connecting to the lca. And you shelled out the money for it, so you may have a bias

Throwing this figure out of your ass? Links us plz

Its true the longer the linkage the more leverage placed one a given side. The 04+ and Gxp strut endlinks require less bar and still get the same or better handling than 5 inch link connected the control arm which requires a bigger bar to achieve the same result.
