• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

cone filter on throttle body

Mine isnt zip tied either. I cut the top part of the Airbo off and just let the bottom tray so it clips right in to its original place. Works very well

Mine isn't zip tied...never has been wet or dirty...it doesn't even move.

mine wasnt zip tied and mine did jump and bounce around..but mines a 3.1..its probly because i have more room around the pcm because my engine doesnt take up alot of the engine bay so theres more space for it to move around

I was searching and found this thread, but the answer is still not what I seek. I feel like a noob all over again.

I was looking at my intake today figuring out what I was going to do to make my custom one. I have it all figured out. The only thing I need to know now, is how the heck do I remove the stock air box?

I pulled the intake tubing and cover out of the way to make sure the stock filter was clean for now, and didn't see how to remove it.

I did more searching and found something that said on 04+ it should pull right out once I remove the PCM from it. I'll mess with it again once I have an intake mocked up.

Might be a dumb question, and I dont mean to insult, lol.. but did you remove the cross bar from over the air box? On mine there's a little buffer between the top of the airbox and the bar that's holding it down.

Could be something I'd headache over for an hour before I got a lightbulb over my head and siad OH, lol.

I didn't delve into it too much. I wasn't too worried about removal right now. I just wanted to be prepared. And when I do go to remove it I didn't want to break chit.
