Cone air

Hi,
I have a Grand-Prix SE 1998 with an engine 3.1, I would like to know if I can install a K&N cone air filter and I must remove the big one black boxe of old filter? Do you have diagram of that job?

just pull the stock air box off and throw a cheap cone filter on the end of the intake tube.

you can do that^^^^ but you'll still have the restricted part and it'll look like this

but you can go to lowes or home depot and pick up some stuff from the plumbing section and make this
