Cold Start Stalling

Hey everyone,

My car has always had an intermittent problem with starting. Sometimes it will start normal and sometimes I have to gas it for 5+ seconds to keep it running. It seems to be happening when the engine is cold, when the engine is warm this problem rarely happens.

I have cleaned the throttle body, changed plugs and wires, cleaned IAC valve, cleaned MAF, fresh filter, and pcv valve. I do not have vacuum leaks.

I'm thinking even thought I have no DTC's I should replace the IAC valve. Should that be the next step?

Thanks in advance.

Step 1: Please educate us on what you drive. Currently..I assume Yugo
Step 2: Unplug maf with ignition off, start car a few times until the pcm seems to have learned and is running well. Then tell us if that makes it start better overall.

i thought i had a signature. it's an 03 gt. Step 2 didn't affect the way it starts. I started it about 10 times and let the idle smooth out but each time I had to put my foot on the gas to start it.

do you have good fuel pressure? does it hold the pressure or does it drop off to nothing pretty fast after running? codes?

it holds the pressure, don't know if it's "good" pressure. No codes. I just replaced the IAC valve for 21 bucks and so far it seems to have fixed it. I'll have to update again tomorrow because the car may just be too warm now.
