Clear the CLN cassette tape that message?

I hooked up a cassette player about two years back and it's worked like a charm for connecting my Zune. Anyway, about a year ago the CLN alert came up on the display. I've run a cassette cleaner through it, but I want to reset the error message. The only thing I could find so far was to press EJECT on the slave unit for 5 seconds, and it should clear. But all that does is eject the tape and go to radio. I tried holding down EJECT when popping the tape out and that didn't work either. Should I just disconnect the tape drive for a few minutes, and that will clear the message?

Try pressing and holding Eject when there is no tape in the player.
