Changed my Supercharger oil (with pics)

I've read here on the forum that some people don't think the supercharger oil needs to be replaced. Well, what came out of my supercharger was black and rancid. It smelled worse than 10yr old gear oil! The bottle of supercharger oil cost me $5.00 from the dealer and took about 20mins to change. Oh yeah, the new oil is clear!

Well they only had 1 bottle in stock. I can't drive the car with a bad fuel pump so I'll get another bottle soon before I drive it again. Thanks for the heads up guys!

Funny thing to is what I pumped out was less than 1 bottle!

It's two bottles if you get all of it out. The only way to do that it pull the snout and spray out all the junk in there. After seeing the residue from the old oil that's the only way I'd do it now. Two bottles will get you exactly to the bottom of the threads with a good cleaning.

Or you could have just bought 1 bottle from ZZP that has the correct amount to put in.

How so? ZZP sells you 6oz. GM FSM states 8oz. Intense sells 8oz, GM sells it by the 4oz bottle.

Buy 1 ZZP and not have enough to properly fill
Buy 1 Intesne and have the correct amount
Buy 2 GM and have the correct amount.

Your choice.

On a side note, I just had to replace the oil in mine, as well, due to some snout work. Even after only about 18 months, my oil was brown like motor oil. I was surprised to see how dark it was after a short amount of time. I felt I did a good job the first time through, too, in pumping all the old oil out that I could, so there would not have been much residue.

Yes I just replaced mine too and it was blacker then coal (had to replace the coupler) 2 bottles of the gm stuff took me to exactly the bottom of the threads.

I picked up another bottle at the dealer today and haven't driven the car since I changed the SC oil so all is good! For $5.00 a bottle I'm not going to cheap out!

At $5 a bottle you are getting an amazing deal and should stock up.

I was paying dealer cost at $6 a bottle here. Dealer trade value to each other is $8.42

When I change my SC oil sometimes I don't feel I got all the fluid out using an empty spray bottle. Is it understandable if like 1-3oz of fluid is not accounted for?

The odor on this crap is god awful and it STICKS, I work in a nursing home and the smells there are more pleasant than this.
