Okay..Here is my third post for this project! You guys have been a great help!!

I finished the Intake gasket challenge and now am trying to burp out the air in the coolant system. When I had the intakes off I vacuumed out all the coolant in the heads so there is likely a lot of air int he system. Car started up great and is running good, but now its running quite hot. I have been trying to burp the coolant system but can't seem to get the air out. Open the bleeder and steam comes out, then a little sputter of coolant, and then steam. Steam, steam, steam. Then the temp gage started rising so I had to abort mission. Any suggestions? I have been bleeding it for a while now, and it should not take that long.

Help!!

remove the t stat housing, and t stat then fill the lim with coolant from the hole in the manifold. that way theres no question the block is full of coolant.

I got it! Thanks for the help! This is by far one of the better repair forums I belong to! Quick responses lead to quick fixes! Car is running great! More coolant and a little patience did the deal. Now I have hot heat and a cool motor!
