Ceramic vs. HPS pads?

I do 100% street driving, no racing. What are the advantages / disadvantages of ceramic brake pads over standard? I am looking at the Hawk Performance HPS Brake Pads and the Hawk Performance Ceramic Brake Pads at 3800performance.

Or, is there something else I should be considering? I have already upgraded to 12" front rotors. I need to replace both pads and rotors, front and back.

Get the Hawks.

This from a person who went through 6 pad changes in a years time trying to find good pads.
 
ceramic pads are harder and last longer..........negative....(not sure about the specific brand you are talking about-this is a general statement) they often are squeaky.....think school bus stopping or the like.......personally I prefer one step softer than the ceramic with a quality brand pad.....
