Car stumbles after startup and has a jumpy idle

After I start my 04 GT I need to give it a shot of gas so it wont stall, i replaced the fuel pump and it didnt dp anything, I haven't replaced the fuel filter yet, could this be causing it? I'm leaning towards the fuel injectors. anyone have this problem?
 


Remove and clean your throttle body with throttle body cleaner and a toothbrush. That will fix your problem.
 
I have the throttle body in front of me, and all i see is a trap door looking thing, clean on one side and full of carbon on the other, am i supposed to remove the plastic cover on the side and clean up all in there?
 
Check your MAF sensor or clean it. You can unplug it to see if it changes anything in the idle. If you don't notice anything change, there's a good possibility it may need replaced or cleaned. If it does change the idle after it is unplugged, thats not it, check for vac leaks.
 


I changed the oil, flushed the coolant, put in a new fuel filter, cleaned out my throttle body, and yes problem is solved, So it was either the fuel filter or the TB being full of carbon.
Appreciate the info guys, I'd have never thought to clean out my TB. Kinda new at the whole self repair thing
