car just killed on me while driving



it should stay put and not turn

lock the flex plate with vice grips to keep the engine from turning. you maybe just turning the engine and not making the balancer tight all the way?

That was the problem finally installed it correctly but now I'm about to do it all over. The value craft sensor showed my average economy on my DIC now I can't see my average economy number anymore it just shows 0.0
 


you do know that the dic is off on mpg? manual calculating your mpg is better. its far more accurate. sometimes the dic will tell you that your getting 28 when its really 18.
 
Oh ok but when I installed my valucraft crank sensor it showed I had a range of 67 miles left but when I installed the duralast crank shaft it shows 0.0
 
you may get your rage back just from driving it. when i replaced my motor it showed 0.0 but when i started to drive it it then started showing the mpg. i wouldn't really worry about it
 
Yeah you may need to get the some drive time in before the pcm takes the sensors readings and displace on the DIC..

I am glad you are back up though, and I am glad you were able to get it on all the way, I would do a day or so worth or driving then recheck that crankshaft bolt just for good measure.

I saw that I was just going back and making sure to have everything checked. Thank you though for going over that originally you guys are pretty awesome.
 
Sweet jesus it runs! Yea, the average economy resets after you disconnect the battery (like you should have!). Think about it, the car isn't moving right now so it'll be getting 0.0 MPG lol.
