Car Dont start after engine swap



So,

Got Fuel, pump primes?
Got spark?
Got good PCM fuse and all IGN fuses?
Got all connectors plugged in?
No SES codes for anything or a security light flashing?

Fuel pump fine ..got pressure at rails. Spark at all six wires. Fuses are fine..got power at injectors....got everything plugged in.... don't have a code reader, but security light is not flashing. It will start if I spray gas into the throttle body, but dies in a few seconds(when the gas burns off) I'm completely stumped.... I know the motor sat on a shelf in the salvage yard for quite some time, it has or so they tell me just 43000 kilometers on it. Maybe the injectors are dirty or clogged from sitting so long.....I just don't know?
 
I wonder how much it would cost to ship those injectors up there. I don't need them. Pm me your address and I'll find out. If you want them.

I did try the original motor throttle body and also tried unplugging the maf sensor...didn't seem to make any difference....it's kicking at times like it wants to start, however it starts right up as soon as i spray some gas in the throttle body...again stalling when the gas burns off. Seems to me like it is just starving for fuel.
 
Did you ever replace your clogged injectors that came with the motor with the old ones? If you did, and you have verified correct power to your map, o2? Grounds are all good, fuel pump turns on for a few secs, with key on then turns off? Then turns back on while cranking? Have you put a gauge on to see what your fuel pressure is?

Haven't did anything with injectors yet...i think that is where my problem lies......I ordered a scan tool and just got it today, so i'm going to go up and try it and see what codes it comes up with first...i'll post the results after I get back home.
 
your old injectors. did they all break? if not put the ones that are good in the new engine. if it starts up you know it the rest of the injectors dont work.

may even get a misfire code from the ones that dont work after it fires up.
 


swap the 4 good ones in. i could see if all 6 were clogged up it wont run, but if only 2 are clogged up it should run, poorly but run.
 
Well I scanned for codes and got none ....so I used my 4 injectors from the original motor and cleaned 2 from the new motor by the youtube video

and the engine finally ran. I did notice the starter stays on too long if the motor doesn't start , however if it does start the starter does disengage. My car is equipped with a remote start which now doesn't work for some reason....any ideas why this is not working now?

clogged injectors, there ya go,

did a lot of crap seem to come out of the 2 you cleaned? and i guess you saw cleaner come out the tips right.
 
Yeah I used fuel injector cleaner with compressed air and a battery to open up the "piston" it took abit of pressure before it shot any cleaner out, but i figured what did i have to lose.

Going back to the remote start and starter staying on too long...any ideas on when the remote start stopped working?
