car cranks but wont start unless you press accelerator

Pretty much the title says it all. I replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump relays and checked for vaccum leaks. The car cranks initially but if i dont give it gas it bogs down. I crank it after it dies down and if i press the accelerator for 3 or 4 seconds it starts up with no problem. there are no problems when it is started up, in fact is runs strong. Any ideas?
 


Have the same problem with my 2004 GP. From what I can tell it's the MAF. Try unplugging it and cranking the car and it should work. If it does work then your MAF is bad. Hope it helps.
 
Did you check the IAC? Will the car idle once it is started without touching the gas? This is a possible bad IAC...
 
yeah i had the same problem on my 88 i changed the mas sensor map sensor and still had it....but after the tps was changed it fixed the problem
 


I didn't in mine. It would start and then turn off with out touching anything at all. When turning on with accelerator pressed it stay on till I let go and the RPM would fall too low and engine would turn off.
