• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Can't remove key

its you nuetral safety switch. disconnect it and the car will be fine. the only thing its affects is the light in the gaugu cluster that tells you the gear your in, and the doors unlocking when you put it in park. everything else stays the same

The nuetral safety switch is located under the shifter and only keeps you from taking your car out of park unless the key is in the on position and your foot is on the brake. It has nothing to do with not being able to remove the key from the ignition. The problem is the Park Lock Solenoid behind the ignition.

And GrandPrixlbc, if you're genuinely concerned about your passenger reaching over and removing the keys while you're driving.... then you should seriously reconsider who you let in your car in the first place. :th_winking:

a-ffn-greed... when i was younger we use to lightly grind down the keys so they could be removed without shutting off the motor... I'd remove the sensor and save some dough....anyone reaches for the key while driving get's the five knuckle sandwich and their walking papers!!!!
