Tubing looks small and that bend looks too sharp.
i had the k&n on my 04' GTP it was nice but was over priced. i made my own on the GXP it is a fender well intake i used the piping for advanced and autozone and a k&n filter. when i get the time im going to make one at of stainless cause i dont like the plastic that close to the crossover pipe.
how long did it take you to make it?this is a link to my photos. it is on a thread about building your own cai. in the pics the maf is backwards but if you read the thread you should be fine

not trying to be a dick but why is it so hard to remember the colder the air the more power. the lower to the ground the more dense the air.
So any air filter in an engien bay would be not optimal..it will work but not optimal.
The old days you could get good heat dispersion with the space in the engine bay. The old carb and air filter setup worked. But still they wanted ram air or cowl induction for better performance.
Now a days you cant fit a paperclip into areas under the hood. Our engine bays are just loaded with heat. Only way to fix that is with ram air or CAI..a fendwell is the best bet.:th_thumbsup-wink: or to top it off a fenderwell with a connection to the lower scoop on the GXP's bumper for ram air
Now who is in MA and wants to make this a reality??:th_nanana:
prove it. the only way a true 'cold air' intake would work better than a short ram is if you cut a giant hole in your fender and ran the pipe literally straight out of the car. any bends you put in the system restrict the ability for the intake to flow.
