Buying a Heavily Modded GTP

Is there any issues with buying a Heavily modded gtp? its a 99 i believe. Anything i should be worried about in particular? I dont know the guy at all, so i just want to make sure what all to look out for, if anything at all? he seems to know what hes talking about, but you just cant trust many people anymore. Thanks again!
 


I'd be leary of it. Is this in canton? If it is heavily modified, he may be a member. Do you have any pics?

Also, what are the mods??

it is in lorain, its a 2 door, silver gtp. he says it has a brand new motor, only 900 miles on it. ported heads, ZZP headers, ZZP cold air intake box, ZZP 3.4 pulley, 3" down pipe. says he has all paperwork for the motor and everything

most of the time people are selling a modded car cause they feel its at the end of its rope. being you dont know the owner or history or life of the car or engine or the tune he used. id pass. 99% of the time its nothing but problems for you.

find a stock un molested car, mod it yourself. it will be cheaper in the long run too.
 


Like Scott said...find a car that hasn't been messed with...get everything in the condition you want it, then go to town.
 


Don't. Unless your willing to take a chance and have experience working with our motors and trannys in case something does go wrong.
 


Well how much does he want for it? if you could get a good BARGAIN and I mean a GOOD BARGAIN then at least you could buy it and use any good parts towards your own GTP if a GTP is what you really want. SH** you could even use the body and or interior parts if needed
