If your buddy drives with a heavy foot all the time then that is not going to help. As said I know of PLENTY of Fbody guys getting 28+.

Its all about the mods too. My Stealth when stock was lucky to get 21 mpg. Of course some of that had to do with a heavy foot of a 22 year old as$hole. Once I did some various mods on it I averaged 25 mpg DAILY DRIVING, in a car that was rated for 19 city/24 highway.
 


Yea I have always heard of 6spd LS1's getting 30 MPG on the Hwy, my Lt1 auto (3.23's) would average 25 mpg.
