It got burnt on the rear plog so the previous owner flipped it around and put a new boot on it

No, you need a fresh one so it'll center in the holes.. but here's what I did.

I had seen a ZZP shop trans where they weld the pins, that takes any play out of them. Then I had my local machine shop weld the gear on. They drilled three more holes in the reluctor wheel and welded those three spots and ensured the gear was still balanced.
 


Comp g is side lined until I come up with the cash to buy trans parts so in the mean time I'm playing in the turbo car. I fixed a bunch of stuff on it lately and have been having a blast with it.
