Got my car dyno'd yesterday. 315/400 was the number with my car having tons of blow by. New short block is in the future

Re: Budget Comp G @ $3849.39 Trans build happening

I'll be building a short block soonish and she'll be better than ever. For now I'm just enjoying driving her since it was down for a month when the trans broke.

Re: Budget Comp G @ $3849.39 Dyno'd :D

I'm sure it would still run forever. I've been driving my bonneville for about a month and a half and close to 1000 miles with a chipped piston in cyl 2. Blows a lot of smoke out the exhaust and uses oil like a 2 stroke tho lol

I kinda feel bad man.

Even though this car has came ALONG way since you first bought it, the problems just seem to never end with it. As soon as it gets up and running, another issues occurs.

Glad you're sticking with the car though and not giving up. It's a beautiful looking ride and extremely quick. Hopefully after this rebuild, it will be the last of the issues, for awhile anyways.

That's a old modified car for you.. For the money he invested he really shouldn't be mad at all.. Just a minor set back.

Eh, I wouldn't say it's just "Old modified car for you."

Many people with 97's and newer have big builds and don't encounter many problems consistently. Even though my build isn't nearly as big as Smuts, I haven't had a single issue with mine since doing it. But I do agree, anytime modding is involved, things will break - no matter what, it's just the name of the game. I was just saying, it would be nice to see this car up running for awhile without an issue Dan has to tackle.

But with the money invested total, you can't be too mad. Everything hes done/bought, including the car itself has costs less than when I bought my car 3 years ago bone stock.

Re: Budget Comp G @ $3849.39 Dyno'd :D

yeah pump gas with a lot of blow by. I used about a half quart of oil on the dyno. I'm not really upset at all. It's easy enough to fix. I'm just glad I can say every bolt that's ever been turned on this car has been by me. I've done everything to this car that's ever needed done and I'm very proud of that. She'll get a new block and be pumping out 350whp by the summer time.
