Everything seems find under the vc. I'm wondering if i got ls7 lifters instead of stock and need longer push rods

So I'm thinking i need longer push rods? Would it hurt it to drive if like this if it is a pr problem?

did you take the valve cover off and see if you have play up and down on the pushrods? also are they new lifters?

I already torque the rocker bolts though

you dont have to loosen up the rockers just see if they spin with your fingers without any play up and down. if it is pushrods you wouldnt want shorter ones it would chatter more. but if only one pr has play up and down id look into failed lifter maybe?

Still ticking a little I'll look into it over the weekend when i get time. It's either lifter or push rods

Cleaned the interior today, changed a blown rear speaker, and swapped the shifter surround.

No more dead bugs

Tore the old motor down. Who's in for chipped pistons? Guess how many.

One chipped piston/cylinder 1:



2 chipped pistons/cylinder 5:



3rd chip really small though/Cylinder 4:

It was still driving just like that lol. Heads look perfect though that's weird.

did you ever get the random misfire code while driving with chipped pistons?
