• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Here's my new car. A 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX STI. 305HP 290 ft-lbs intercooled turbo four cylinder boxer engine. All wheel drive with driver controlled center diff (DCCD) and SI drive.

Thanks guys. I'm really enjoying it. Earlier tonight it walked all over my coworker's brand new C6 vette that he paid $15k more than I paid for my STI. It was a road course, similar to auto cross but not quite the same. He couldn't put nearly enough power to the ground coming out of turns or during turns to keep up with my times. The STI just diverted power to the front wheels and kept everything in full grip. Such a blast.

Wish I had money.

Join the military. Slow going at first but you start to make bank. I went from a FWD boat based off a 20 year old platform to one of the better handling cars that can be had for less than $50k.

awww its a hatch :( nice car though and gismo's in it lol...I have no idea what all that " I " auto/man stuff is ( sport S#, S , sport sharp ) but good stuff haha

Nice car. No flames here.

Here's one thing I've noticed about foreign cars:

An American car would be with parts from USA, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Australia, Abu Dhabi, and who knows where else. When I was looking at cars, I don't think I saw a foreign car that wasn't made entirely with parts from a single country. I wonder how much the foreign auto makers save by building their cars all in one place.

All STI's are hatches now. The gismos are for the engine mapping (SI drive) and driver controlled center differential.

Hey Sabre, nice choice, now just keep the mufflers those same size and we wont have a problem ;)

I do like the choice, its a well built car, even if its not a "US" bought vehicle. The only other car in that class I would consider like yours would be the Mazda Speed3.

Not much modding you have to do to your car either, turboed, intercooled, adjustable suspension. You're set!

as much as i like STIs, i absolutely HATE those stupid hatchback ones. have fun making that car faster. you know you want to.

Since it's a 180* angle engine (boxer) and has unequal length headers it has some nice grunt sound to it. I definitely don't feel like making it louder after having exhaust my Imp's exhaust for 3 years. But, if I did, I know it won't buzz. It's not an I4, it's an H4.

As much as I wanted to buy American, they just aren't offering anything close to this at that price point. Maybe for my next car when they get their game together. I don't play fan boy with my money like that.

Stage 1 tune to a stock car provides a dyno proven 40WHP. It's ridiculous and refreshing after dealing with w-bodies and the 3800 for so long.
