Brakes grabbing intermittently

New member
Been having some braking problems. new brakes(on front)
brakes grabbing intermittantly - Chevy Dealer put
New Hubs & Bearings - seemed to fix the problem for a short while
Still happening. Been told most likely ABS system problem-
also told to put on new brakes in rear to see if that fixes problem.
If not, then ABS problem - Any thoughts

Welcome to GPF.

ABS is built into the wheel bearings.
It sounds like your brakes need to be bled, or fluid checked.
Did the dealer do pads and rotors?

Simplest thing would be a warped rotor... when you say new brakes, is it new rotors and pads, or just pads??

2nd would be an air bubble in the brake lines.

Also, if it were abs, they'd be able to pull an abs code on it.

THE ABS & Traction Control lights were on intermittantly
prior to the installation of the Bearings/Hubs - Have not
come back on since - although problems remain

Try removing both the caliper bolts and greasing them up really well w/ some high-temp disk brake grease and reinstall. Might just be a caliper sticking. Happened on my Bonne.
