Brake pedal issues..

Driving home yesterday chilling cruising in my whip lol i approached the light and applied the brakes as i was sitting there and all of a sudden i lose pressure in the brake pedal!
Scared the hell outta me, so i quickly tap the brakes again and the pressure came back. WTF? im thinking the brake booster is going bad because the pressure came back after reapplying the braked. went to the shop and he said it was the rotors lol. any ideas?:th_scratchhead:

Also noticed that the reservoir cap rubber is cracked.

If your booster was bad your brakes would hard as a rock. Rotors wouldn't cause you to lose brake pressure out of no where.

If the rubber on the resevoir cap is cracked you may just have air in the system. Bleed and flush the whole brake system before you go replacing the master.

As for master replacement, it should be pretty straight forward.

It does sound like a mc but bleed your brakes first and see if there is any air if not then I'd change the mc. It's pretty easy just get a line wrench for the brake lines so you don't round them off.

Good deal. Glad you got it fixed. Not much more frightening then pushing on the brake pedal and having it go to the floor, lol..
