• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

bobber project, take 2: '79 XS650

also getting his fork brace. part of the reason for the front fender is to brace the front forks and without the fender they get kinda loosey goosey. this'll help the bike from wobbling all over the place on bumps.

yeah, i like the exhaust on it right now for looks.

but i think having a longer exhaust will help it to run better as well as tone the volume level down slightly. it will also no longer spit fuel on my shoes.

Do they have custom steering shocks that you could put on it to stiffen up the steering? Like what they do for the crotch rockets? I know you won't use it the way they use it with 140+mph wheelies and all, but tighter steering is tighter steering IMO. If there is a "loosey goosey" feel I would want something done.

i'm sure i could pick one up that comes stock on a bike and adapt it without much effort. there isn't much to them.

finally got it out to a show this year and a photographer i know pretty well took some sweet pictures.

ride it for a while, then describe to me how ape hangers would be a completely retarded idea. it not only doesn't fit the style of the bike, but they'd ****ing blow because i'd have to hold my arms up all day long.
