Re: BLUEGTP91's BUILD!! *PICS Pg:7*

those look good. what are the specs on the cam youre running again?

Re: BLUEGTP91's BUILD!! *PICS Pg:7*

Too much last I checked...it has the same LSA as the T.E.P. but it is a bit bigger. It is a 591/577. Since I don't have a larger blower...I went with more intake since I've got no issue letting it breathe with the larger valves...so I figured I'd try something not very many people have done...if any.

Re: BLUEGTP91's BUILD!! *PICS Pg:7*

Just the way I wanted them...scuffed up for the proper atomization...none of that polished crap

Re: BLUEGTP91's BUILD!! *PICS Pg:7*

A machine shop in BFE halfway between KC and Warrensburg where University of Central MO is...if you know. Anywho...bet you'd sh!t if you found out how much he charged. Guy named Mike @ Bulldog Racing. He builds 4.3 VORTEC's for dirt circuit and runs them to 8 grand all day long so he said a 3800 shifting around 6500 is nothing LOL

yeah, the cam i had was 572/566, so i thought it was going to be a nice boost producing cam, but then i never ran it. im excited to see what yours will do and how it'll sound.

Re: BLUEGTP91's BUILD!! *PICS Pg:7*

If Brian is ever going to put his motor in...he has a one off cam from a Regal that's a pretty big intake based grind too...so we'll see how this is gonna play out...GenV vs. GenIII ;)

Re: BLUEGTP91's BUILD!! *PICS Pg:7*

They love boost...so I'm pretty excited to see what it is going to do more so than sound...because I already know its gonna sound bucknasty

Re: BLUEGTP91's BUILD!! *PICS Pg:7*

How's this sound...

All the work on the heads you've seen
Heads Decked/Resurfaced
Valve Guides Milled .100"
Springs/Retainers/Seals/Locks/Valves Installed and put on a Flow Bench to match each port
Everything hot tanked/cleaned
Block was align bored and balanced
ARP Main/Head Studs installed
Crank Gear Machined to match stock
All Clevite Bearings installed
packaged in boxes with prtective covering for transport when I picked them up...

Under $900 :D

Re: BLUEGTP91's BUILD!! *PICS Pg:7*

wow.................

did you atleast take him out to dinner after stealing money from him....

Re: BLUEGTP91's BUILD!! *PICS Pg:7*

Nope...he's just a pretty damn cool all around guy and told me he doesn't believe in charging outragous prices for stuff that isn't that hard to do since his grandpa learned it all, passed it down to his dad who raced professional stock cars, and now taught him. I think it is more of a "They like to do it for fun" more so than the money aspect side of things.
