BLUEGTP91's BUILD...Page 25 has some vids :D

Re: BLUEGTP91's BUILD!!

Well...TTT

And some pics...I would just like to say I am being pretty damn lazy with this though. Motor was pulled out last weekend as I have just looked at it everyday dreading working on it. Well...here is the damage!

Your typical Clevite 77 Cam Bearing.

More crap thrown all over...

And the oil pan...hmmm, another cam bearing? Damn right.

Best part about it was the XP was perfect when it was pulled out, oh...and the fact that there was no cam key in it either...not in the oil pan...no where. LOL I love this car. So...all that is left is either IC or 100% Meth and the injectors. Then get the block line bored/hot tanked and the pistons cleaned up and she'll be ready to rebuild :D Branson 2010 Here I come LOL

Re: BLUEGTP91's BUILD!!

And NOS!!!!!! :th_laugh-lol3:

Nick you still saving up cash for me? Or can I give it to someone else? Just asking as I haven't heard from ya in a while.

Re: BLUEGTP91's BUILD!!

Well...as of the 21st of Sept...so count two weeks from there because I start my new job ;) You should have some money if not all of it...if you want to wait that long...sorry man I actually meant to give you a call today but never got around to it.

Re: BLUEGTP91's BUILD!!

You're going Intercooled Nick ?

Sounds Fun :th_thumbsup-wink:

Damn right I am Ryan, Devil's Own injected too...this thread got kinda lost but bringing it back for a update...kinda bummed but I am working with what I got. The L36 I scored on the cheap ended up being scored...as in the crank is shot and the walls are kinda beat up...:th_depressed:

*sigh* Oh wellz...

So...I am using the L67 short block I have and got that ripped down and sending that off to get Line Bored for the ARP Mains and have the journals polished on the crank. I did however get a good amount of cleaning done today and took a stab at porting my supercharger while it was off too since I have never done that before either. And here she be.

I'll be getting injectors, a IC, meth injection and the cam here within the next month so I'm hoping on a start up vid by lets say Nov. 1st...I don't want to get too excited:th_nanana:

Re: BLUEGTP91's BUILD!!

if you use that l67 block youre going to kick yourself in the ass later. you NEED that high compression on a big m90 build. dont screw this up before you even get started.

Re: BLUEGTP91's BUILD!!

Whats line boring?

Line boring is when they machine the cylinder for an oversized piston, back to an actual cylindrical shape. Align boring (what he is referring to) is when they machine the block main caps back in to a straight line, for oversized bearings also. This is needed if you check and find that it is in fact not a straight perfect line.

Don't worry there nancy. I got it covered.

So...got basically everything minus the Meth Kit...cam should be here this week. Deciding on valves? Takes on this guys? SI or ZZP Oversized? This will be the 2nd to last big purchase:th_thumbsup-wink: Should be nice X-Mas gift to me to get this thing running before the 1st snow...and it ain't looking too good LOL Might as well go sleding in this thing :th_biggrin2:

Re: BLUEGTP91's BUILD!!

dont the SI valves have a problem with breaking off at the end of the stem because they have to machine them down to fit in our heads? i would honestly just run a set of l32 stock valves.
