• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

BGPM09 participants?

Sure hope the date stays the same... I already requested the time off work.

Now the real question: Do I bring the GTP or the GXP? lol

And here I was bustin your chops on the thread in the general forum about that ;)

Like Abrasive said.....drive them both :)

im thinkin bout towing both the GN and the GSX down, i like em both too damn much. but thats alotta towing and work, and im a lazy POS, so itll only be one of em

I also got my vacation approved so I plan on being there as the slowest GTP. I rebuilt the xmission again this time I put some tall gears in it trying to get 40Mpg because of the millage I put on it going to all these shows a long way from Atlanta altho if the canadian comes it shoots down my only trophy chance. Unless they bring back most modded. Any one going to the 2009 GTOA & POCI show in dayton, ohio july 7 to 11 ?

Nope I put in 2:71 and might try 2:54 :-) I will have to put some hwy miles on the car to see what millage I do get but there is plenty of torque and 65Mph is about 1200 Rpm This might not work for better milage and I think I may lose milage around town I was getting about 20-25 around town with the stock gears and close the 30 on trips. We will see and I will need to tune the car to see what is possible. Getting a turnner in a few weeks.

Where did you find gears like that for our transmission?

sounds like he wants to me more of a topend guy. Intense used a 2:71 in the bonneville for the Salt flats...

..and even tried it out in the drag car.. didnt work out.

Well I dont know that I would want to use 2.70's gearing, but 2.80's I think would be good, at least thats my assumption. I thought something in the high 2.80's would have been better to tame the low end torque yet not ruin it to such a point that you loose all the advantage from the blower but get better traction and better highway economy.

i am going for sure. got my vacation approve if anyone from wisconsin, michigan or indian coming through chicago hit me up and tell me date and time you going. you lead i'll follow:th_thumb-up:

You better go this year...get the wife convinced:th_nanana:

Bad thing is I have no excuse except for Money. I have talked to my boss and she says Sept is open. I have 40hrs of vacation time to burn and will have 80 hours to burn by then. I emailed her (the wife ) the other day from work with a real mushy love poem i found on the net and put i love you and my name on the bottom. It always seems to help, I know I'm a real Casanova LOL! Then sent here another email right after it and put the link to BGPM in it and told her to take a look at the site when she gets a moment. It actually worked too.

She opened up the mushy email and got all warm and fuzzy inside and then opened the BGPM and told me we'll have to see what we can do. Even said that it sounds like fun. :th_winking:

I'm getting there folks. Slowly but surely. :D

Well, I hope you can make it Ryan. You really don't have to spend a ton of money if you don't want to. There's always people hanging out around the hotel and that was pretty much the most fun for me, just hanging out with fellow Pontiac enthusiasts. Your hotel room is the biggest expense, but maybe you guys could split that with someone else and share a room. Mystie and I split one with Brain and Sarah last year. Anyway, like I said, hope to see you there.

Yeah, that was great! Good time man, I can't wait to do it again. I got very little sleep that weekend, then again I never get to sleep much anyway. It was worth it.

Also what was fun is hanging out with the Wichita guys, Farnsworth is a riot! LOL! I think all I hung out with that weekend was the KC guys...

And this year Shawn we are gonna hafta find that one eatery that has that humungous burger or stake and see who will be the winner of the event! I am sure we could probably get a few others involved. LOL just be sure to bring some antacids for the aftermath!
