I agree cogged belts are always badass, I try to keep up on updates but I am gathering and building my own project :th_mischievious:
 


Hell Farns, i'd wish you'd release this product, i wouldn't mind having this for the... at least it works off the original DUB system which I have.
 
Removed the videos, too much bull **** comments everywhere.

Probably will not produce these for sale, everyone thinks they are over priced, and they all want something for nothing. Considering this does not have anything to do with belt slip, your paying more just for the sound is what it comes down to. Worth the extra expense, many think not.

Coolness factor is up there, but the actual usefulness/plausible factor is way down.

I like it, and glad I tackled the project first.

I'll see about getting some of the final installed pictures some time. The plate, and the "Y" were polished along with the belt guard. Looks pretty bling no doubt.

You had that plate on the car yet? I mean you might want to check your coil pack bracket for belt clearance, I know it was even a tight fit when I had my SSIC core.

Yes, its been installed for some time. Put it on the night before we left for the BGPM.

You can see some of it here installed. I can make out the nitrous "Y" and a couple of injector spacers myself. Maybe later some better up close pictures, as I didn't take this picture myself.

As for the videos, removed from you tube, and deleted off my hard drive the day I uploaded them. They are gone.

thats one of the sexiest engine bays no matter what i do i cant clean mine up like that plus i need a few polished goodies
 
farns i got nothing against your car, i actually love a lot about it (especially that IS3), but why do you insist on all of those covers in your engine bay. i can see the coil pack cover, but a cover over the blower pulley? why? this is coming from a minimalist person (i took things OUT of my engine bay so itd look cleaner), so take it with a grain of salt.

i think he put that there because the belt took a beating and started coming a part and started destroying the underside of his hood. something like that.

Yup.

That and it will probably happen again since a cogged belts life is much shorter than a serpentine belt. I really dont want damage to the under side of my F1 hood, would you?

Also kinda wanted to do something kinda cool since I turned down my snout, and went in a full inch instead of a half inch that is only needed. So once the pulley was on, I had a unsightly gap left exposed.

I have driven with it installed, but have not ran nitrous through it yet into the engine. I have ran nitrous through it on the bench, flow bench to be exact, 1,300 PSI was blown through it, and each port adjusted so each intake runner gets a clean EVEN shot.

Might notice I made the plate larger in areas, so the stock fuel rails will bolt right to it, vs. wasting money on a set of fuel logs. :th_thumbsup-wink: Maybe in the future I will fabricate my own fuel rails. But I dont see a need to replace the stock rails, they look and work fine and are not restrictive.

The cars cleaned up and in storage/hibernation for the winter time in the garage. Maybe next year when things clear up I'll make another video, and leave it up this time. Do a walk around, start up + walk around, and a few in action minutes, maybe complete with tire smoke since my Nitto's are done anyway, might as well finish them off.
