• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

DUI BABY
does no one have the common sense to be on time anymore? here is my little story.

i bought an exhaust from someone on the NASIOC boards for my impreza a few weeks ago. in the mean time he was supposed to buy a catback, take his off, and then meet up with me so i could pick it up from him. today ended up being that day. we were supposed to meet in delevan, which is about 45 minutes from my house and about an hour from my place of employment. we chose the time of 6:00 to meet outside of a walmart right off the highway.

here is what really happened: i show up at 5:30 because i made better time through traffic than i thought i would. i call him when i show up at 5:30 only to get his voicemail. i leave a nice voicemail telling him that i showed up and where i was parked. he promtly texts me back saying he fell asleep watching a movie and he was leaving then. he said he would end up being there around 6:30, great. i waltz over to culvers and eat dinner while i wait.

it goes on, i sit in my car listening to music and having a jolly old time loving life. he calls and tells me he will be a little late considering he is LOST. he finally decides to get his bearings in order and find where the hell i am around 7:00, an hour later than we had first agreed upon. then he gives no apology or anything for being late. seemed very genuine, but felt no wrong in not being the least bit on time.

does no one plan ahead these days about where they are going, how long it will take to get there, and being EARLY?! what the hell is the world coming to?

fffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

I feel your pain. Some people have no respect or regard for anyone elses time or inconvenience. When I started working I beat 80% of my competition by just showing up on time and being there everyday.:th_thumb-up:

Thats terrible.

I can only imagine how the first local I bought from would have felt if I showed up late....

He drove over 4 hours one way just to sell me headers and injectors.

Met up with two people in the gp scene so far.. Not on this site but 'the other'.. Had good experiences, so lame to hear about your bad one.

ill only tell you that this is not the first time this has happened to me. i am constantly planning ahead and being early everywhere i go.

my entire life has been around me waiting for people. i can't tell you how many times when i was on a job site people would show up an hour and a half late for their FIRST SHIFT.

I'd wait for them to show up and then send them home. like wtf really?

you show up late for your first shift you had better have a damned good excuse or i'd be FIRING you, not sending you home...

I hate when someone is late. I know how that feels. Especially when they dont apologize or acknowledge they were late. Where I work, customers are required to show up 30 minutes proir to their appointment time. Guess how many people follow that rule. :th_tongue2:

I hate people being late. My friend would always be late when we car pooled to school. I would sit at his house for an average of 20min every morning. Pissed me off like no other.

I f*cking hate late ppl. Mainly my friends, nothing kills a buzz more than getting all pumped to go out and getting sh* faced then having you friends pick you up an hour late.

I would rather be 30 minutes early than 5 minutes late.

thats me

it kills me to be late. my old place of work was 4 minutes from my house and eveyday i would show up 15 minutes early. not because id allot to much time, but as a courtesy. i was late once in three years i forget why but it was a damn good reason.

im gonna be the opposite here(flame suit is on)..i honestly being early,30 mins early would bug the **** outta me,i dont mind 5-10 mins but when i get to my destination and then gotta wait to go in..no thank you -_-..ive never been on time my whole life and even when i tried i was just makin it on time(like today i clocked in at exactly 3pm at work..)
one exception is appointments..i do really try to stick to agree'd times, some times it works, others it doesnt,EX: one time i was 2 hrs late picking up a girl ik to go to drive-ins cuz i underestimated a concerts lenth i was at with other friends,we still went out and it was fun but ohh was she a lil bit upset

yea i hate when people are late too i planned to meet up with someone to look at my gto at my work which is 10min drive for me. and i waited for 2hours and then guy never showed up and didnt appoligize or anything when i called and asked what happend

X2 i've only been late 3 or 4 times in 2 years....i called my boss each time and let him now her know. 2 of these times were cuz my car wouldn't start...i think something is screwy with the security system cuz itll crank like mad but wont get any fuel and or spark don't know which lol. One of the other times was cuz i was going to another DQ halfway across town to get our food order since our internet was down during ordering time....so in two years i've only been late once due to my stupidity...i fell asleep lol...and it was like 5 minutes. I'm usually about 20-30 minutes early and my boss loves it.

I've seen COUNTLESS employees come and go but there's always been like the 5 of us that can actually figure out how to show up and do our job. Everybody else works for a couple months and gets fired cuz their too dumb to figure it out.

Just today i was told that this girl needs to stop visitng with her friends in the lobby and the next time she's out there for even 5 minutes, to clock her out and send her home.

That happened to me at my first day at Sugar Daddy's....once again my car wouldnt start...and then once it did start i heard this rubbing noise and was like aww chit....it was just my inner fender well plastic rubbin on the wheel when i turned...i freaked out at first cuz i had the car for like 2 or 3 days..can't remember lol.

well when i gotta meet up with my friends or something im always the last one to show up, like 5-10 mins late
but when its important im always 10 mins earlier
