lemme know if you think im retarded for considering =p

When i bought my 01 crownvic i was in a jetta vr6 an hour before ready to purchase but the dealership was stupid as hell and i left fun cars though they almost all have phantom electrical problems though

ya i know they kinda suck maitnence-wise and have dissapearing and reapearing problems too ha but idk the market for them is bigger and i know some people in the community so im thinking about it very hard =)

i think they are sweet cars with alot of potential and i personally do not see to many of them around....plus that vr6 sounds amazing with an exhaust and it is german

i hate vw, if i had to own one it would be brand new and i would sell before 50k. Absolute junk for reliablity and expensive as hell to maintain. If you ever had the thought "god this 3800 sucks to work on" DO NOT buy a VR6. Dont get me wrong, i think there sexy modded and they are quick out of the box, but jesus please have another daily driver.

i love the "look" that vw people go for. a tire like that is retarded and not safe. as long as u didn't do that, i'm fine with it.

I have always liked that gen jetta, Personally don't know much about them but I have heard the vr6 is not too reliable. If u get one whatever u do don't do the wheel treatment that is in the pic, looks crappy imo.

look at those disgustingly stretched tires. what is with import guys doing that? buy wheels that you can actually run wide tires on or pull your fenders farther! ****!

well im pertty torn 50/50 thats why i asked.
and i always thought vw's were for chicks too but then i started looking into modded ones and i like em. trust me blue i want a rwd v8 but its not practical for my location =(

Pfff.. Practical??

Who needs practical.

My 5.0 was getting 7 mpg.. :th_thumbsup-wink:

hell i get 12 with my jeep, makes lots of noise, sucks tons of gas, and slow as balls!! Talk about practical. Although i had an 80 F-350 with a 400 sbf that got around 5-6 average...

I had nothing but repeated electrical problems with my 99 Golf.
I sold it at a loss before it ran out of warranty. I liked the car very much, though that model needed Bilsteins because it had mush stock suspension.
I wasn't about to pay 500 to 1000 every six months for some repairs on elec. windows/locks that should have been sorted out decades ago.

Just my opinion.
