BBS wheels.....why not?

I've searched and searched and can't find a 97-03 GP on BBS RS' anywhere. The BBS RS is my favorite wheel ever, and with all the reps out there right now I'd gladly throw a set on my daily.

Found some that would/should fit AWESOME in 17".

Specs
17x7.5 and 17x8.5
et 35 all around with a 5x114.3 bolt pattern.

For $559 SHIPPED, obviously minus tires.

Right now I've got 17x8 et45's with 225/55/17's....

I've got my flame suit on.....what are your thoughts?

(Yes, I am a fan of "fitted" wheels, "hellaflush" and "stance." It's my VW obsession trying to cross over into domestitard land.)

I'd be happy with 8.5's all around, but I've got to have the flush look. That is what is most appealing to MY eye ya know?

I think 17's would look great if the car was lowered a touch.

Once the money tree blooms I'll be ordering up a set of CCW Classics. Until then....it's reps.

Which reminds me....the XXR "CCW REPS" don't look toooo awful bad....minus the multi lug.

the car needs to be lowered much more than a touch to make those wheels work, especially being 17s.

Varrstoen makes some ccw reps that look much better than the xxrs. I've seen a few of the xxr ones in person and they kinda suck IMO

Running any kind of low offset you need to be lowered quite a bit to pull them off. An 8.5 +25 fits quite nicely on my car.

Sandman, that looks great....thanks.

Bio, I think 17x10 might be a bit aggressive for a daily...especially with a 235 although as we both know, that is hardly stretched!

Here's what I need.

the fenders are huge and you should have no issues so long as you know your way around a fender roller and aggressive fitment/alignment.

i have 18x8.5 +35mm on my baby subaru and feel i could go at least an inch wider and not be too extreme yet.

I definitely could go with a wider wheel with more camber. But I hate the look of stretched wheels. I like meaty wide tires.

Kuntzie had like 285s on a 10" wheel on his old car.

Depending on how you lower is important too because you might run into inside clearance issues. I had 18x10 +25 all around and the front clearance was fine and i think you could go with a 10.5 or 11 maybeeee if the tires were really stretched. The rear had plenty of room outside but at +25 i was really close to the trailing arms and they almost touched the airbags. With coils i think you'd have even less space having to avoid touching the spring. But i added a 10mm spacer and had some camber and i think it was about perfect. With more stretch i think you could do an 11 in the back easy as long as the offset is correct. I know everyone on here hates on staggered but i think if done right could look good. I wanted to play around with it myself and do like 18x10 +20 upfront and like 18x11 +15 or something like that

The whole hella flush thing is a phase and will no longer be popular in a year or 2. At least locally that is. On a side note I like those wheels and wouldn't mind seeing one on a Gp.
