So my battery in being overcharged and i have no clue why.. when i start it it will read 13v and then creep up to 15+v has anybody had this issue??

The alternator's output is regulated at about 14.5 volts. What you're seeing seems normal.

This isnt normal i had it running for 20min and it reached 16v. i changed alts changed pcms and still climbs. i blew a cell in a battery already and had it replaced. ive been told the bcm controls charging and there could also be a reset after changing batteries? Could something be wrong with the bcm?

I think the PCM monitors the battery voltage and if it goes to high then the SES should illuminate.

I have 2 alts.. bought a remand last year from napa.. Didnt fix problem.. i have 2 pcm's they didnt change anything.. went for drive to get coffee today and it climbed to 15.5v and without engine running the batt was @ 12.7v.. yesterday driving for 20 min the battery saver active came up on dic . its weird!

i went through 3 rebuilt alt's in a row, in 3 days, 2 of them were over charging, way over 14 v. they all tested good at the store, but were bad. they shouldn't put out more than 14.3 i believe.

so get another alt, the last one you bought may be under warranty still, 90 days i think. they will just keep giving you a new one no questions asked. at least i had no problems, and went to 2 different stores. duracrap too from autozone. you do need the receipt.

I've never had good results with alt from napa. Went through 5 on one guys car before we got a good one
