Are these good replacement control arms?

I'm concerned about the specific part. Seldom does everyone of a company's products top every single class. Sometimes, they're second place. Look at MSD's coil packs, for an example.

Is the quality of rubber different? Stiffness? Is the metal nicer? Are there features?

Their ball/socket joints aren't loose out of the box like some economy brands.

Thats one big plus.

I installed AC Delco advantage LCA's and within a year the BJ boots failed and the front LCA bushings were torn.

Moogs have held up much better thus far.

Based on rear sway bar links: TRW ball and socket joints: not impressed. Moog: Impressed.

Sadly all you're going to find is anecdotal evidence.

Which will be hit and miss.

...a pneumatic vibrator? Yeah, I realize there's not going to be any hard data here, but when someone just says "do this," their opinion is useless. If someone says "buy the part because the ball joints seem to last years longer" then there's some usefulness.
 
my father has used moog as long as hes been working on cars and so have i all of my supension parts are from moog. even the sway bar chassis mount bushing and the front sway bar liks are high quality bushings and hardware. so when ever i get the money i will be getting the moogs from rock auto.
 


Has anyone found any actual difference in quality/performance/durability between the brands, or do they just like barking a name like a troupe of trained seals? It's too darn hard for me to tell from online pictures. The only person I might know of that has seen a reasonable amount of control arms is Mike Kopstain. Think we might get his opinion?

I have dormans too, but a friend on ClubGP bought a pair and the welds broke after only a couple months. Maybe it was just a bad set but he re-tunred them and got MOOGs

its all in the bushings they make, they have been of higher quality over stock for ever.

moogs quality went downhill for the past few years, chinese crap. so thats why i said dorman. why pay 10 bucks more for another chinese phail?
 
The ball joint on the Moog LCAs are better As far as the actual LCA itself, it's probably about the same.

Plus aren't the Moogs grease-able?

rock auto. moogs are 49 either side and the dormans are 41 either side. and the ball joints are greaseable. I personaly havent seen any diffrence in quality.
